"Puppies, anyone?"
The puppies started opening their eyes in the last few days, and the younger children are very excited that they can hold them more often.
But for me, their eyes being open means taking puppy pictures (not as easy as it sounds, trust me), setting up accounts with advertising companies, and (grrrr) the registration process.

Mr. Avery decided that he would rather sniff out this new environment instead of looking at the camera.
I think that taking pictures of puppies is actually harder than photographing people. Humans at least understand the English language and cooperate better than 2 week old puppies. For the most part. I did have 1 pup that thought it should be back with its brothers & sisters rather than having somebody try to set it into a pose on an old sheet.
Asher, who decided to crawl around after the camera, and hence his paw is not on the pic.
"You think I should look at the camera? No way! I'm going exploring!"
Aubrey cooperated and posed for the camera, as well as her younger sister Audrey, pictured below.
And then Mr. Axle. "Sure take all the pictures you want, just as long as I can sleep."
Many puppy advertising their site with slogans such as "List your puppies for FREE and be seen by over 80,000 visitors per day!" or "Place puppy for sale or adoption ads for free!".
These sites are "free" as they describe, as least to some extent. I listed several pups on one such site and when I went to view my listings, my contact info was hidden, and the message "The seller has requested that you upgrade your membership to have accesses to the contact info" flashed across the screen. "What?" I thought, "this doesn't sound totally honest". However, we decided parting with a few dollars was worth it for folks to be able to contact us!

I can tell about half of the puppies apart. The problem with the other half is that you never know if you are holding Archer or Arrow, and which ones are Andre and Arthur. As soon as we have collars, we will be able to color-code them and tell them apart.
Anybody want a puppy?
